Officers
Kevin Yamauchi
Kevin is a PhD candidate in the UC Berkeley/UCSF Graduate Program in Bioengineering. He is performing his dissertation research in the Herr Lab where he is developing microfluidic tools for single cell analysis. More information about Kevin can be found here.
Parsa Nafisi
Parsa Nafisi received a B.S. in Bioengineering from UCLA in 2012. At UCLA, he worked on developing the use of aqueous two-phase systems as part of a sample pre-concentration step in order to improve the sensitivity of the lateral-flow immunoassay, a paper-based diagnostic tool commonly used at the point-of-care. Parsa is now pursuing a Ph.D. in the Berkeley-UCSF Graduate Program in Bioengineering. He works in the Douglas Lab at UCSF, where he is using DNA nanotechnology to develop new drug delivery strategies. More information on his research and other interests can be found here.
Marc Chooljian
Marc is pursuing a PhD in the Liepmann lab at UC Berkeley, where he develops low-cost rapid prototyping methods for microfluidic devices. Marc is also a member of Tekla Labs, an organization that promotes citizen science through sharing of designs for DIY laboratory equipment.
